The access road to the main entrance at the Isle of Man’s largest hospital has reopened after a heavy goods vehicle that crashed nearby was recovered.
The incident, which happened before 09:00 BST and saw the vehicle left on its side, had forced the closure of the access road to the main door of Noble’s Hospital.
The police confirmed the road had reopened shortly after 13:00 after the scene had been cleared.
Manx Care confirmed one patient was in a “stable condition” at the hospital following the crash, and access to the main entrance had now “returned to normal”.
People attending the hospital had been told to use the entrance at the Accident and Emergency Department instead.
Bus Vannin services to the facility were also affected, but they have since resumed their usual routes.

Good to know the road’s back open and hope the person involved makes a full recovery.

They did their best to solve the problem quickly, else it would have created more difficult situations.

Glad to hear the road’s back open and things are getting back to normal. Hope the patient continues to recover well.
